ABOUT US

Alkamīe was founded and is led by Seira Flores, a serial entrepreneur and certified coach. Seira has launched three startups and has had her own exit in 2020. She majored in Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley and became a certified coach in 2018. Before she became a founder, she worked as a project manager at the County of Los Angeles where she ran social innovation and turnaround projects. It was here that her passion for creating large-scale social impact through a systems thinking approach was born. 

 

After her exit in 2020, Seira embarked on a mission to figure out how she can maximize her individual ability to create social impact in emerging markets. She found herself in Cape Town, South Africa where she discovered the burgeoning ecosystem of innovative and impactful startups. It was here that she realized that what was missing in the startup space was a focus on developing the internal skills and resilience required for founders to truly succeed. From there Alkamīe as born and Seira is now on a mission to make founder psychological development top of mind for founders, investors, and stakeholders.
